pooor pavan!

29 Jul

for those of you who don’t know pavan, he is my classmate and good friend….

something very funny happened today. someone hacked pavan’s facebook account and updated his status in a very funny way (as he claims). the moment i stepped in class, i saw pavan with an almost crying expression. he was surrounded by few guys who were consoling him who were again surrounded by guys who were making fun of him! you should see his face!!the most surprising part of all this is that everyone thinks it was me who hacked. come on… if someone puts a rock in your path and you stumble upon it, it is only your fault but not the rock’s or the one who planted it. and even if i was good enough to hack a facebook and yahoo account together, i would certainly not be preparing for a supplimentary exam!!!

madrasa pattinam in vellore pattinam

27 Jul

well, vellore just got recognition as a city so there’s nothing wrong in terming it as vellore pattinam. coming back to the subject, i just saw madrasa pattinam a fantastic love story framed in 1940’s. its a tamil flick and i dont speak tamil but you know, love has no language (among few other things!). anyway it was not a problem b’coz most of the movie goes in english. all the program of going to the movie this evening popped from nowhere so we dint plan for dinner. the movie finished at 9:30 pm and so did our hostel in-time. hence we came back to college straight away. mess closed, no junk food and nowhere else to go… i am really hungry now (just leaving a note for time-travelers!!!).

speaking of the movie, that was something i would call a classic. it was a perfect mix of romance, suspense and drama. don’t think i am a racist but frankly, this is the only tamil movie i liked so far! the movie resembles the hindi flick lagaan but more centric with love story instead of cricket. it had a terrific screenplay which i haven’t seen from slumdog. the female lead was played by a new british face named amy jackson who did great. i will most certainly fell short of words describing the movie. madrasa pattimam has set its place firmly in the list of my favorite movies.

afternoon batch sucks!

26 Jul

now it has been exactly a week since i came back to college. it was a long summer (atleast i felt like that!). i was happy to hear atfirst that we had classes in the morning batch but who expected it was only going to be for a week. the classes for afternoon batch start at 2:00 pm and its hell to walk up miles to class in the hot sun. you see, a heavy lunch is always accompanied with a good afternoon sleep!

the thing i love about the timings of morning batch is that the classes are finished even before you wake up fully from your sleep. since i am in afternoon batch now, i would have to get used to it!!

rajamouli keeps on impressing…

23 Jul

just watched maryada ramanna. that was something i was eagerly waiting for since months. which turns out to be a truly awesome flick. keeping a comedian actor in a lead role and pulling it off so handsomely is what only rajamouli can do. all this time i was wondering about how the story could run around a comedian and a bunch of serious villains but far to my expectations the movie comes out in an amazing way. to cut short my fuss and describe the movie in few lines, i would say it was a complete entertainer with comedy and action. watch it…

what happened after the movie was also interesting. 7 of us went to the second show of the movie and none of us had permission to come late that night (actually one of us did but i tore it off…come on, either everyone or no one!). 5 of them returned to their blocks in hostel after returning. me and one another were to go to the same block. since we had no permission we were scared to enter the block. but see what we find? the watchman was sleeping a little away keeping the door open! u can guess what happened next!!!

bad hosting

04 Jul

well, i know that no one reads my blog! but if you had accidentally opened this lately, you would have found that it was down for a week. my site celebrates its birthday on every 29/06. now, i may or may not remember this but there is one person who would never loose track of it. its my website hosting manager. though i did not forget my site’s b’day this time and renewed it before expiry, the hosting account manager did not seem to notice the payment. so the site never showed up last week.

since my site was down last friday, i lost a chance to share my movie experience on its first day. i went to i hate love stories that day. i don’t know what to say here. it was an ok-type movie. i neither loved it nor hated it. the thing i liked the most about the movie was a hot chick playing Gazel (or Dazel…i din’t get it correctly). i don’t think its a fantastic or a must-watch flick, but you can go for it if you have enough attendance!!!
